Above: Taken by Cris Moore in 1990's.
I have transformed his photograph to a more surreal look by swapping the features around and placing them on different features on their faces. I have also put a strong contrasting filter on half of their faces to match with their gothic grunge style.
Above: Photographed by Larry Clark in 1993.

Here I have Photoshopped Larry Clark's photo by adjusting the vibrancy and exposure. I have also multiplied and stretched his skateboard and shoes so that it becomes a bigger feature in the photo, this also makes it look a lot more vivifying.

The 90's photograph above was taken by a photographer called Cris Moor. I have used three of the same image to demonstrate how you can create a surreal photo manipulation, using layers and photo filters in Photoshop. Having several layered images and colour popping background shapes produces a more trippy 3D effect this makes it stand out a lot more. The contrasting, intense blue and red help distinguish the three separate image of the woman.

I think this effect is interesting and provides an alternative look that would work well for Zines.

 After

Here I have again collaborated with a visual effects student to help me take a still 90's photograph and turn it into a moving photograph (gif). Our idea was to make this drawing come to life by making it look as if the ufo was taking the alien back up into the spaceship. We did this using Adobe Photoshop.

After

Above shows I have taken the 90's photograph that is shown below and have converted it in a gif using Photoshop to create smoke effects from the cigarette and flashing changes of colour in the graffiti in the background. I collaborated with a visual effects student to help show me how I can change a still image into a moving image and play around with effects.
