Misbhv RTW Spring 2017
A Nineties underground mood took center stage in this streetwear. Polish brand Misbhv infused a Nineties underground feel into its spring collection. Exaggerated silhouettes were at the core of the streetwear-focused lineup, namely an oversize leather biker jacket worn with fluid Lurex pants with utility pockets on the bottom, and a maxi-style rock concert souvenir hooded cotton sweatshirt paired with grommet-embellished trousers with slits on the legs.
Denim also took center stage in the collection, which featured baggy overalls matched with a cropped jean jacket. Their denim garments reminded me of the 90s and 2000s when denim was a huge trend especially denim on denim, such as this photo of Tyra Banks in 1990s wearing her denim shirt tied up with a pair of blue jeans and young Drew Barrymore in a grunge denim jacket and jeans. Also not to forget the iconic photo of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's matching head-to-toe denim outfits.

A big trend in Y2K was wearing a cropped tank top paired with cargo or combat pants. Misbhv had a key theme in their collection which was to have big pockets on their trousers and also to make them slightly baggy to resemble cargo pants. This was a trendy look in Y2K for many different styles such as skaters, rappers and techno fashion. Well known 90s artist Aaliyah style would mostly consist of wearing baggy cargo pants with tight or cropped tops.

This next garment features a pink patterned spaghetti strap leotard with some slightly transparent holographic combat pants over the top. These trousers have a cut out front which reveals the leotards shape. This leotard really reminded me of the pink girly look in high school films such as mean girls or clueless. What really took a similarity was Emma Bunton's (Baby Spice) pink strappy mini dress, I thought these two were very similar in colour and print, also that they both have that iconic 90s spaghetti strap look.
